Foote-Jones Relocates to Aberdeen, South Dakota
August 16, 2004 (Aberdeen, SD): REGAL-BELOIT CORPORATION recently announced its Foote-Jones Division, manufacturers of large-scale concentric (in-line) parallel shaft and right angle geardrives, has relocated to Aberdeen, South Dakota. Foote-Jones previously located in Chicago, IL, and aligned with Illinois Gear is combining operations with Hub City, Inc., another REGAL-BELOIT manufacturing company based in Aberdeen since 1892.
Scott Schneier, Mechanical Group Vice President, REGAL-BELOIT, stated "This strategic move combines the manufacturing, marketing and distribution expertise of two major REGAL-BELOIT brands in the power transmission industry. The Foote-Jones brand, which dates back to 1859, will retain its unique identity, product offering, and high quality. This combination will allow for effective leveraging of each brands strengths to service the broadest spectrum of customers needs and requirements."
According to Mike Markley, National Sales Manager, "Foote-Jones slashed normal industry lead-times and focused on the customer, becoming the service leader in the industry. When combined with Hub City's facilities and capabilities, Foote-Jones' ability to meet the customers' needs is going to extend to a wider customer base. This is truly a win-win situation for everyone."
Foote-Jones, acquired by REGAL-BELOIT in 1990, manufactures helical, worm gear, shaft mounted, parallel shaft and spiral bevel gear drives for applications such as paper making equipment, rock crushers, forestry and mining equipment, to name a few. The company's newest product the Uni-Power™ in-line reducers are designed in double, triple and quad reduction for multiple industrial applications.
Hub City provides tough, dependable driveline components for use in industrial and agricultural applications around the world. Products are manufactured at two South Dakota locations and assembled at one of seven Assembly/Distribution Centers located throughout the US and Canada.
